At Sports Centre de Bongerd (SCB), the safety of everyone training, playing sports, or otherwise present in and around the complex is a top priority. To ensure everyone is prepared for emergencies — from minor injuries to serious medical incidents or fire — the SCB maintains a clear emergency protocol. It outlines exactly what to do, who to call, and where to find help, so that in a crisis, action can be taken quickly and effectively. All front desk and management staff at the SCB are trained emergency response officers (EROs), ready to provide first aid or bring in the right emergency services.
Summary
In a serious emergency: always call 112 immediately. Afterwards, call the SCB front desk (0317-483877 or 06-30393579) so the on-site EROs can guide emergency services to the correct location.
In less urgent situations: call the front desk first. Staff are trained in first aid and can assess whether the situation needs to be escalated to 112. Be ready to share your name and phone number, a description of what’s happening (mentioning any heart-related symptoms right away), and the exact location of the incident.
Other practical information:
- An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is available at the SCB front desk.
- General Practice Campus: 0317-466600 | General Practice Center, Gelderse Vallei Hospital: 0317-200800.
- In case of fire: call the front desk or press a manual call point, leave the building with your group, go to the assembly point at Parking 2 in front of the SCB, and report any missing persons to an ERO at the assembly point or the front desk.
As a coach, trainer, or activity organizer, always make sure a charged phone with the SCB front desk number saved is on hand during every session.
